Bamboo Hut: War Daw Village, 10 minutes by bike out of Nyaung Shwe and then (just after the Red Mountain Winery) 5 minutes off the road. Run by Shan people. With great view across Inle Lake. Barbecued lake fish, marinated in ginger and garlic or fish curry, all delicious according to reviews on tripadvisor.com.
Four Sisters Restaurant: Shan dishes. 105 Strand Road.
Golden Kite Restaurant: They offer homemade thin crust pizza from a pizza oven and pasta. Very good reviews for the pizza, quite good for the pasta on tripadvisor.com.

Live Dim Sum House: Yone Gyi Road, opposite of Inle Inn. Reviewers of tripadvisor.com are delighted about the Chinese food here - dim sum or duck. And appreciate the local wine.
Sin Yaw Restaurant: Yone Gyi Street. Shan specialities like tea leaf salad, spring onion tempura, noodlesand tofu. very good reviews on tripadvisor.com. The restaurant offers also a shuttle bus service to Heho Airport, leaving at 7 am, 9 am and 1 pm, as they write on Facebook.
Smiling Moon: Yone Gyi Road. They sell trekkting tours.Not the best reviews on tripadvisor.com.
Tea House: At the corner of Shwenyaung-Nyaungshwe Rd and Yone Gyi street. A place to watch people, drink tea or coffee, eat shan noodles or samosas and tempuras, as Spytravelogue describes.
The Shan Restaurant @ Viewpoint Lodge: A classy restaurant with views of the canal and the landside. And the Shan food is extraordinarily delicious and not expensive. Outstanding according to the reviews on tripadvisor.com.
The French Touch: Very good reviews for food, pastry and coffee on tripadvisor.com. They show films in the evening. "Its host of cocktails, including its trademark 'Frenchtouchtini', makes it an excellent spot for a sunset cocktail", writes Jessica Muddit.
